OBERLIN -- Hildegard Euhus, 97, died Tuesday (Nov. 15, 2005) at the Decatur County Hospital.

She was born June 30, 1908, in Deshler to Lewis Lueders and Amalia Neuhart. She attended parochial school in Deshler.

She marriage Henry Fred George Euhus on Jan. 3, 1928, in Deshler. The couple made their home on a Decatur County farm before moving to Oberlin.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin, the Lutheran Women's Mission League Guild and Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. G. Euhus; one brother and his wife; three sister and their husbands; and a daughter-in-law, Martha Euhus.

Survivors include a son, H. Stuart Euhus of Oberlin; daughters, Shirley and husband, Gaylord Shields of Oberlin, Deanie and husband, Stan Moore of McGentry, Texas, and Pat and husband, Forrest Junod of Sacramento, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oberlin with the Rev. Rick Langness officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Friday, 8 a.m., at the church.

Memorials are being accepted in her name at the Children's Christian Concern Society.
